000 ABPZ30 KNHC 011511 TWSEP MONTHLY TROPICAL WEATHER SUMMARY NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 800 AM PDT FRI JUL 01 2016 For the eastern North Pacific, east of 140 degrees west longitude: One tropical depression formed in the eastern North Pacific basin in June. Based on a 30-year average (1981-2010), two named storms typically form in the basin in June, with one of those storms reaching hurricane strength. Without the formation of a named storm so far this year, the eastern North Pacific season is off to a record late start. The last season on record to not have a named storm by the end of June was 1969.
