Tropical Cyclone Berguitta (2018)
Berguitta Potential Landfall Forecast - Zoom Level 1 About This Map
About this map: Tropical potential landfall forecasts are an interactive element which allows users to display forecasted landfalls along the official National Hurricane Center Forecast Track. The map will plot the storms track as a dotted black line along with any wind field radii that are forecasted for the storm at that time. A dotted dark grey circle will represent the area of error that the forecast point falls with-in. This means that based on the forecast the storm center may actually be anywhere with in the area of error at the specified time.

It is also important to realize that a tropical cyclone is not a point. They may not follow the line of the National Hurricane Center Forecast. The Tropical cyclones effects can span many hundreds of miles from the center. Additionally, users are reminded that the forecast wind field radii represent the maximum possible extent of a given wind speed within particular quadrants around the tropical cyclone. As a result, not all locations falling within the shaded areas will be experiencing sustained winds of the indicated speed.
